Description

This book is THE Definitive guide on Performance Modifications and Enhancements for the Ruger 10/22. Written by: Doug Yenshaw w/ contributions by Phil Lebow.
This book dives into the tools, skills, and modifications necessary to make your 10/22 run like a professionally built rifle. The mods in this book come from multiple years of knowledge and skill, and if executed correctly, will take your 10/22 to a new level.
With this book, some tools, and an adventurous spirit, you can modify your 10/22 to Professional Gunsmith levels.
If you don’t have the tools, time, or desire to do the mods yourself, you can always have the work done by the writer Mr. Yenshaw or LRK Mechanical. You can have THE WORKS done to your 10/22 by an experienced gunsmith if you choose.
THE WORKS Trigger Job consists of:
-Hammer cut to 2-3lbs engagement
-Cut, Micro-Polish, and True the hammer and sear surfaces
-Shim the sear for less lateral trigger movement
-Shim hammer bushings to eliminate Side to Side movement and stop the torque on the hammer from the hammer spring
-Shimming lines up all the fire control group parts which ensures clean, crisp trigger pull every time
10/22 Trigger kits currently run between $35-$120, and may not include shims. On top of that, you still have to properly install the kit in question which may not have the correct tolerances necessary for a clean, crisp, consistent trigger pull.
Keep in mind that factory FCG parts are always going to be mass-produced, making them rough and making the tolerances hit or miss. The average shooter can install a custom trigger, but becoming a great shooter also means practicing trigger control. The equation is always half “hardware” and half “software”.

Feel free to contact us for more info about 10/22 work pricing or to purchase the book and learn to do it yourself.
